a little more detail is required.

you could put a bitta paper over that part of the screen.
or remove all your display drivers (foamy the squirrel : Tech Support 3)

If you are seeing a green line, then the most probable cause is a bad lcd screen, and there is nothing you can do to remove it. Your only option would be to replace the screen. I have replaced hundreds of lcd screens and usually a green, red or blue line indicates data is missing, caused by a faulty solder connection or faulty driver board that is attached to the lcd screen. In any case the only options are to either live with it, or search the web for a new screen. If you decide to try a new/used screen, the best way to know you are getting the correct one is to remove the plastic cover on the front of the lcd, and then tilt the lcd out so you can see the back of it. There should be a sticker on the back that has the model number of that particular screen. This is important because a lot of laptops came with different size screens, its not a “one size fits all” kind of thing. Do a bit of searching, I have ordered brand new lcd screens anywhere from $150-$250 from a few places online. Be careful when removing the plactic bezel from around the screen, it does not take much to break them, and make sure you have ALL the screws out, sometimes they are hidden behind the rubber bump stops or along the outside edge of the bezel. Good luck.
