How much are laptop screens to repair?

I mean in euros (Ireland).. I dropped my laptop, the screen is fucked and cracked, but i don’t think there’s any internal damage.. The model is a couple of years old at this stage (Dell Inspiron 6400 or something), and I was wondering if anyone knew how much it would be to repair/replace and if anyone knew anywhere good or cheap in Ireland to get it done. Thanks

Might be cheaper to find the same model somewhere with a different (Worse) problem and just swap the screens. You can usually find instructions for doing so for most models online.

Sorry I can’t help with the Ireland detail, I’m a Yank.

I don’t know about the Ireland part but LCDs are *really* expensive! You’d be better off just buying a new laptop, especially since yours is a couple of years old. Rather than scrap it altogether, you can pair it with a regular monitor & use it like a desktop computer at home.

Hey, replace it yourself .. really! .. it doesn’t take a rocket scientist, once you see how easy it is, you’ll want to do it.There are lots of places that sell replacement laptop screens on the net with installation instruction on their websites. Here is some links where you can browse around. I went with ScreenCountry site, was more than satisfied with quality and the price. Chaooo!
