From what it sounds like…if you cannot just push the ESC key back on…you will not be able to easily clean your keys. However you may be able to find another keypad for the laptop…in which case all you would have to do is swap them out.
well the keys should just snap back on if the loacking tabs r not broken now for the koolaid i would try a q tip with some rubbing acholo on it
You can gently pop the keys off and clean with an approved computer cleaning solution (typically alcohol based.) Use a q-tip or something similar. Do not spray anything onto the laptop.
I have had 2 sattellite’s and I like them too. If your esc key won’t stay on, that’s nothing a tiny dab of glue wouldn’t fix. Be very careful popping the keys off. You could damage them. It may take a while, but eventually you can get all of the kool aid out of the keyboard.
Lucky break that it still works, huh!
You should just go on Ebay and find a replacement keyboard just put in your model and keyboard in the search. Most laptop keyboards are not too hard to replace. Prob about $15
If the koolaid did not ruin the keyboard or get inside and damage electrical components then the best best is to depower it and carefully clean off as much of the sticky as you can with a damp (not wet) cloth and maybe some Q tips. As for the esc key, you could try using super glue if the locking tabs are broken or try the website and see if they can send you a replacement. Otherwise you may have to do a swap out of the whole keyboard.
